Requirements To Study Marketing In UNIUYO:

To be eligible for admission into the Marketing program at UNIUYO, prospective students must meet the educational qualifications set by the university.

The primary requirement is a West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or the National Examination Council (NECO) certificate with a minimum of five credits.

These credits must be obtained in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other two subjects from the Sciences, Social Sciences, or Arts.

UTME Requirements

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is a standardized entrance examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria.

To study Marketing at UNIUYO, candidates must participate in the UTME and meet the following requirements:
a. Obtain the JAMB UTME form and select the University of Uyo as the first choice institution.

b. Score the minimum cut-off mark specified by the university for the Marketing program.
c. Register and sit for the required UTME subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other relevant subject.

Direct Entry Requirements

In addition to UTME requirements, UNIUYO also offers direct entry admission for candidates who possess higher qualifications, such as a National Diploma (ND) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field. To be considered for direct entry into the Marketing program, candidates must:

a. Possess the required O’level qualifications, as mentioned in point 1.

b. Obtain a minimum of upper credit or its equivalent in the relevant ND/HND program.
c. Participate in the direct entry screening exercise conducted by UNIUYO.

Post-UTME Screening

After successfully meeting the UTME requirements and selecting UNIUYO as the first choice, candidates are required to participate in the university’s post-UTME screening exercise. This involves:

a. Obtaining the UNIUYO post-UTME screening form and following the application guidelines.

b. Preparing for and sitting the screening examination, which usually includes questions on relevant subjects.

c. Attending any additional screening activities, such as interviews or group discussions, as specified by the university.

Cut-Off Marks and Merit List

The admission process at UNIUYO is highly competitive, and candidates are ranked based on their UTME and post-UTME scores.

The university sets a cut-off mark each year, and only candidates who meet or surpass this mark are considered for admission.
