In this article, I’ll clarify whether JAMB caps offer a candidate more than one admission at a time.
Prior to the implementation of the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), there was more than one admission process for candidates. Candidates have occasionally received three to four admission offers from different schools at the same time.
However, This usually leads to malfunctions in the entire admissions process, and it end affecting some students, with some those who are qualified for admission not being considered, while another individual may be having more than one admissions from different institutions.
As a result, the Central Admission Processing System had to be implemented (CAPS) by the Joint Administration Matriculation Board, JAMB. With this in place, JAMB can now more rigorously regulate admission. The system manages and controls all admissions procedures in the entire Institutions in Nigeria.
If you are admitted to a school based on your selection in JAMB, no other institutions will admit you until you reject the one they have previously offered, or until JAMB or the school withdraws the admission.
Once a school offers you admission, no other school will offer you another admission until you reject the one they have already offered. This makes receiving more than one admission at the same likely to be impossible with JAMB Caps.
When you accept admission on Jamb Caps, your admission window closes.
Once a candidate has been offered and accepted admission on Jamb Caps, their admission opportunity for that admission year will be closed.
This also signifies that you will no longer be admitted at other Higher learning Institutions in Nigeria.
To be more specific, candidates who accept the admission offered to them on Jamb caps cannot and will not be considered by other institutions; only those who refuse the admission offered to them on Jamb caps have a chance to be admitted to another schools in Nigeria.
